The Challenge
Austindo Consulting Services rebuilds and services electric drive components for mining haul trucks -- wheel motors, drive cabinets, grid boxes and more. When a customer is buying a rebuilt mining equipment component, they want documented proof of exactly what's been done to it. And when that component is in service on a mine site, the maintenance history needs to be accessible in the field, not buried in a filing cabinet back at the workshop.
What We Built
A component service history system where every serviced component gets a physical QR code attached to it. Anyone with a phone or tablet can scan the code and instantly see the full service and rebuild history for that specific component -- what was done, when, and by whom.
For buyers of rebuilt mining equipment components, this is a genuine differentiator. Instead of taking Austindo's word for it, they can see the documented maintenance history themselves. It builds trust and gives Austindo a competitive edge in the mining equipment space that most competitors simply don't offer.
For maintenance teams on mine sites, QR code asset tracking means service records travel with the component. A technician in the field can scan the QR code and access the full history without calling the workshop or digging through records.
