The Problem
Our Town Fencing is a Hunter Valley fencing manufacturer that builds custom fencing to order -- alongside their vast standard stock range. Customers ordering custom work naturally want to know where their job is at, and before the tracker that meant phone calls back and forth that took up time on both sides.
What We Built
A custom order tracking widget embedded on the Our Town Fencing website. Customers can check the progress of their custom manufacturing order through every stage of production -- from order received, through manufacturing, right up to completion and ready for pickup.
The tracker integrates with a proprietary custom-built manufacturing system that Our Town Fencing already had in place for managing their production workflow. We connected to that existing system rather than replacing it, which meant zero disruption to how the factory floor operates -- a practical approach to system integration that kept things simple.
When an order is ready for collection, the customer gets an automated SMS notification. No need to keep checking the website or calling in.
